For teachers
Interactive video quizzes, built from videos you already use
Assigning a video and hoping students watched it is a guess. ViewCue turns any YouTube video into an interactive lesson with questions embedded at the exact moments that matter — so watching becomes responding.
What an interactive video quiz actually does
A normal video is passive. An interactive video quiz pauses at a timestamp you choose and asks the student to respond before playback continues. That single change turns twelve minutes of background noise into twelve minutes of checkpoints you can measure.
- Questions fire at any timestamp — mid-explanation, not just at the end
- Playback is gated until the student answers, so nobody skims to the credits
- Multiple choice, true/false, and open response in the same lesson
- Instant feedback for the student, instant data for you
Build one in about five minutes
1. Paste a YouTube link. ViewCue loads the video with a scrubable timeline ready to build on.
2. Add questions — or let AI. Write your own at any timestamp, or generate a full set from the transcript and edit what you keep. You review every question before students see it.
3. Assign or present live. Send it to a class for self-paced work, or run it as a live teacher-led session with answers appearing on screen as the room responds.
The part that saves your evenings
Closed questions are auto-scored the instant a student answers. Every assignment rolls into a report with completion, average score, the high-to-low spread, and a per-question breakdown showing which distractor pulled students off course. Retakes are compared attempt by attempt, so you can show growth rather than a single snapshot.
Accessible by default
Every quiz supports read-aloud text-to-speech, adjustable text size and spacing, dyslexia-friendly fonts, and high-contrast themes. Accommodations can be set per student, or as a baseline for a whole class — and they follow the student into every assignment automatically.
Common questions
How do I make an interactive video quiz?
Paste a YouTube link into ViewCue, scrub to the moment you want to check understanding, and add a question at that timestamp. The video pauses there for every student until they answer. You can add as many questions as you like, or let AI draft them from the transcript.
Can students skip ahead past the questions?
No. Questions gate playback, so students have to respond before the video continues. You can also require a minimum watch time before the answer options unlock.
Are the quizzes graded automatically?
Multiple choice and true/false are auto-scored the moment a student answers. Open responses are collected for you to review, and everything rolls into a per-assignment report.
Can I reuse a quiz next year?
Yes. Save questions to your library and duplicate whole assignments, so next term starts from what already worked instead of a blank page.
